RED ELM – Ulmus rubra – Ulmaceae – Folhosa (Hardwood)

Também conhecida como slippery elm ou gray elm. Ocorre nos Estados Unidos. Madeira de textura fina, dura, pesada, resistente e durável. É utilizada para cerca, caixilho de janela, implementos agrícolas etc. Em instrumentos musicais é utilizada para bateria.
